The Dr. Robert E. Witt University Fellows Program is a community of elite scholars from diverse disciplines who share a similar passion to become change agents through commitment to leadership and service.

Each May, Fellows who have just completed their first year at UA live and serve in Marion, Alabama after spending Spring semester developing community-based participatory projects for their Black Belt Experience.

In the photo above, Witt Fellows from Cohort 17 were in the early stages of turning an empty lot into a community garden with the support of their community partner, Project Horseshoe Farm.

In the photo below, Witt Fellows from Cohort 18 visited the community garden in August to help harvest as part of their Freshman orientation to the Witt University Fellows Program.
